Another neighborhood idea!!!

Ok, before I reveal another neighborhood idea that anyone can steal, I want to tell you that I decided on my border pattern for my neighborhood. My neighborhood will be using Prairie Schooler elements and houses arranged in a flow, not in rows.

To make my border,I am going to piece together various elements of the Prairie Schooler pattern, Autumn Samplers. I am using the squirrel and leaf border that runs along the left side of the Autumn Sampler and the cornucopia and pumpkin border from the Clear Moon sampler. I will be repeating those elements on the right side as mirror images. The border is 354 stitches wide! YIKES!!!! But it will be so wickedly cute. Also, I decided to use the upper leaf border from Autumn Sampler across the top of the sampler. And I will be stitching "Praise God from Whom all blessings flow" underneath the upper border. If you haven't guessed by now, my sampler is a Harvest/Autumn theme. Describing the border is so hard!!!

Now for another neighborhood idea! Wouldn't it be darling to stitch a neighborhood of Blackbird Designs houses? Surrounded by those fantastic viney, flowery, bird-filled borders? I gotta tell you, if I wasn't so taken with my border idea, I would consider using Blackbird Design elements in my sampler.

Hmm-mm....I may have to think about stitching another Neighborhood!

Ha! Great minds think alike... I went through my BBD designs and tried to put them together in some way, but I couldn't make it work for me. It would be fun to see someone else trying it, though!
