so much fun, it can't be healthy

I am just lovin' it! I've begun my Primitive New England Village and started in the upper left corner with Brightneedle's Four Friends (slightly adapted). I chose the design because it reminds me of a childhood photo of my mom and her three sisters in front of their family home on Mount Desert Island, Maine. I've adapted the girls to look like my mom and aunts. And may I say that braiding floss hair is absurdly difficult and time consuming? LOL! Those blobby things by the front door are French knot flowers, but the flash kept hitting them wrong. They are not that ugly IRL.

I'm stitching on a 30 ct FQ of R&R Woodlawn simply because I fell in love with it and it was in my stash. Some of the stitching will be over 1 so it's just as well that it's not a really high count.

I hope everyone else is having as much fun as I am!

Wonderful start! How do you type in the description in your picture?

Your start certainly does look like an old New England Village. Love the saltbox style house! Turned out well.

Cross stitch queen, to answer your question, the 'typed in text' is a feature available thru Picnik (an online photo editor). You can Google it for more details. :)
